
Pieter Lindhout is Managing Director of GE Money's Insurance business in Australia and New Zealand. He joined GE in September 2007.
Prior to this, Pieter held a number of P&L leader roles, most recently at TOWER, where he held the position of CEO of General Insurance and Direct in New Zealand. In this role, Pieter managed a budget of NZ$100 million and 400 staff. Before this, Pieter was CEO of AMP General, and General Manager of The Spencer Partnership, an Australian management consultancy with expertise in business and operational improvement - key clients included the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
GE's insurance business has three legal entities: Hallmark General and Hallmark Life Insurance in Australia, and SINZ in New Zealand. Hallmark is governed by a Board of Directors with an independent Chairman. Sub committees of the Board include the BARCC and investment committees.
Pieter completed GE's Management Development Course in September 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons) from Sydney University, and a Masters of Business.
