Mel Honig

Mel Honig is the General Counsel for GE Capital Australia and New Zealand.

Mel was appointed in March 2011 as the General Counsel for GE Capital Australia and New Zealand.

Mel’s career as a lawyer has spanned over 17 years in private practice and industry.

Mel joined GE in 2000 from KPMG where she held a variety of roles in Tax and Legal over 6 years.  Since joining GE, Mel has built extensive experience in commercial, banking and finance and consumer credit law and has worked in Australia and Indonesia.

Mel has Law and Economics degrees from Monash University and lives in Melbourne with her family.
