Brad Masters is the Managing Director of Capital Markets. In April 2007, Brad joined GE Commercial Finance to develop and build the Capital Markets business in Australia and New Zealand. The business manages GE's relationships with banks and other wholesale investors; it supports the origination and structuring of new deal opportunities; and is responsible for the distribution of loan or securitized bond assets.

Brad's career spans 25 years and has been concentrated in financial services. His early career included three years in the Investments business at AMP followed by three years at Barclays Bank in a commercial finance sales role.

In 1990, Brad joined the Institutional Banking division of Westpac Banking Corporation. Commencing as a credit analyst, Brad spent three years preparing detailed cash flow and industry analysis of a portfolio of credit exposures. Moving from Brisbane to Sydney in 1993, Brad assumed responsibility for management of a portfolio of client relationships. In 1996, Brad accepted an international assignment in New York as Vice President, Corporate Relationships. Clients included many large publicly listed Australian and US companies.

Brad returned to Australia in 1999 to take up a specialist role in Corporate Finance, focusing on the syndicated loans market. For several years, Brad lead many large-scale transactions ranging from investment-grade corporates to non-recourse project and infrastructure financings through to leveraged, acquisition and real estate deals.

In 2005, Brad was appointed to build and lead a structured capital markets and fixed income business. The business focused on creating structured bond products and distributing these to wholesale investors.

Brad holds a Bachelors degree in business from the Queensland University of Technology and is a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
