Philanthropy & Volunteerism

Across Australia and New Zealand, we work closely with nine key community partners to drive stronger relationships and faciliate greater volunteering activity on a local scale:

Ardoch Youth Foundation – Victoria & Queensland

www.ardoch.asn.au
Ardoch believes that education provides the means for creating options and choices in life – linking schools, corporates and communities to assist young people and their families, including those experiencing disadvantage, to be in school. GE has proudly helped Ardoch Youth Foundation make education a reality for more than seven years.

Fareshare – Victoria

www.fareshare.net.au
Fareshare rescues unwanted food from restaurants, retailers and caterers around Melbourne to create meals for the homeless and disadvantaged. Alongside the humanitarian effort, there are significant environmental benefits - for every kilo of food rescued, Fareshare saves 1.5kg of greenhouse emissions, 56L of water, and prevents an extra kilo of food entering landfill.

Women's Cancer Foundation – Victoria

www.womenscancerfoundation.org
Every 11 hours, a woman dies from ovarian cancer. The Women's Cancer Foundation is focused on vital research into the disease and associated education programs. GE supports the Women's Cancer Foundation by raising important funds through the annual We Can Walk It Out and corporate golf events.

The Spastic Centre – NSW/ACT

GE has supported The Spastic Centre for a number of years through fundraising and general maintenance at their centres, helping to build a better future for children and adults with cerebral palsy.

OZHarvest – NSW/ACT

www.ozharvest.org
OZHarvest delivers on average 80,000 meals each month, supporting communities at risk and protecting the environment by saving thousands of kilograms of food from going to landfill each year.

Cancer Council WA – Western Australia

www.cancerwa.asn.au
Cancer Council WA aims to reduce the impact of cancer through research, education and enhance the quality of life of people affected by cancer. GE is proud to support fundraising efforts for this worthy cause.

Twin Streams – New Zealand
