People

Here at GE Capital we are committed to our people and customers.

We're committed to being a terrific place to work, assisting those in hardship, and supporting local communities.

Did you know, in 2009:

We donated over 7,000 hours to charity

Volunteering is part of our culture. We have a broad range of talents and take pride in assisting those in need. Last year, over 869 employees rolled up their sleeves and supported over 1572 events*.

We were voted one of Australia's most respected companies

In fact, we rated 9th in a survey conducted by The Hay Group and BRW in 2009. Ranked according to peer respect amongst the business community, this result speaks volumes about the work we do, and how we do it.

Every year we close our doors to open our hearts

GE Money branches closed their doors for an afternoon and over 500 employees took part in volunteering activities.

We helped young people realise their potential

In 2009 and for over 8 years GE Volunteers have assisted Ardoch Youth Foundation to achieve their goal of creating richer options and choices in life for those in need.

We do all we can to help keep customers in financial hardship afloat

We assisted over 30,000 people who found themselves in financial difficulty. We did this by waiving interest and fees, providing reduced payment terms and partial settlement offers. If a customer finds themselves in financial difficulty we encourage them to call us immediately, we can then put a plan in place to get them back on their feet.
